when planning my show are quickly realised how important the choice of music would be and creating the right energy and emotional connection for the viewer. I know I needed a song that was not only catchy and memorable but also versatile enough to blend smoothly with the variety of dance styles. I was showcasing has such a powerful influence on performance is perceived and I wanted A track that would lift the choreography complement the movements and create a seamless flow between pieces.

Spending time researching and listening to different options, I found the song “Baby” by BakerMat. The moment I heard it I felt an immediate connection to upbeat tempo, playful rhythm and infectious energy of the song captured exactly exactly the mood I wanted for my showreel. It felt fresh dynamic and perfectly suited to the performances I chosen to include. I loved how the song carried a sense of joy and movement that really enhanced the visual storytelling of my dance pieces.

Choosing This track felt like a turning point in the creative process because it’s tied everything together and gave the showreel a stronger identity. It reminded me just how much of an emotional impact music can have not just on an audience but on how a performer experiences and presents their work. Finding the right song wasn’t just a technical decision, It was a creative one that made me feel more connected to the final product and proud of what I’ve put together.
